Small Faith Groups (SFG) are a place where you can find support and create a nourishing environment to grow spiritually and deepen your faith. It is not a Bible Study or adult education, it’s simply a setting in which we can discuss, in the intimacy of a small group, openly and non-judgmentally, the Sunday readings, reflect on the questions and, together, grow in goodness and character.

WHO: Groups of 6 – 8 like-minded parishioners, adults and youth.

WHAT: Use the section of the bulletin entitled, “Bringing Home the Word” for your meetings. Bringing Home the Word is a newsletter for individuals, families, and parish groups. Each week, the readings for Sunday and the week following are listed for your reference. The main article relates the Sunday Gospel to our lives today. "The Home Church" offers a faith-filled reflection and an activity for families, and the "Prayer" can be used as a table blessing or in a small group meeting. The "Reflection Questions" provide thought-provoking questions that encourage discussion among families and other parish groups.

WHEN: Weekly or once or twice a month, each group decides

WHERE: At a home, coffee shop, bar or restaurant, at the parish, or on Zoom

Why: The Christian faith is meant to be held in a personal way, but not a private one. Without Christ-centered friendships, our walk of faith will most certainly be a slower, less steady one, at best. When we have friendships in which Christ is central, we connect with him in a way we will not be able to on our own. - Fr. Michael White Pastor of Church of the Nativity, Timonium, MD Co-author of “Rebuilt Faith”
