For three years, ending in September 2020, we were prohibited from collecting funds for our local building plans due to the Archbishop’s On The Way Ándale capital campaign.    We resumed our parish building fund collections in October 2020 and continue to have building fund collections once a month.

A facility master plan was developed based on the input we received from the surveys conducted in 2020.    The first phase of our master plan and our priority is to tend to those in need in our community.   This will be through construction of a facility for our St. Vincent de Paul ministry.  The cost of this building is approx. $ 650,000.  That process is underway with construction hopefully beginning shortly after the first of the year.  We have sufficient funds in our current building fund to cover the cost of this project, thanks to your generosity for many years.  To be more specific, the balance in our building fund account is $ 1,613,218.

The second phase of our master plan is to construct a family center and connecting plaza in the area to the west of the church building.   This project is currently estimated to cost between 4 and 5 million dollars and we will need 50 percent of the necessary funds on hand before construction can begin.

Minor renovations to the existing church will be happening soon in accordance with Archbishop Gustavo’s directives to Fr. Octavio.

Pictures of the proposed master plan and of the St Vincent de Paul building are on display in the church foyer and in the foyer of the administration building.  Stop by and see with your own eyes the vision you are making possible for our parish in the future.

Any feedback is welcome and we encourage you to continue to support our master plan by contributing to the building fund.  We are excited to embark on this next part of our journey to make Church of the Good Shepherd and Immaculate Conception Mission, a welcoming, functional, and spiritual environment for generations to come.
